As a contemporary abstract painter my journey to catagorise myself under this heading has been varied. Over a period of time I have seen my art practice diversify in the same manner as the materials I have used. Previous art works I have created have been conceptual art where the concept or idea is more important than the technical skills in creating the work. I have always had a fascination for creating art to convey my ideas and issues using found, discarded or what may be deemed as mundane objects encountered on a daily basis.
